THE OFFICIAL STATISTICS ARE IN — now that we’ve *ahem* “left Iraq” - except, of course, for the 16,000 hired contract killers, and our 8,000 American Embassy Staff Workers who we’ve left behind.
Actually, I’ve seen stats that estimate the Iraqi Civilian Deaths could be way higher, like somewhere between 600,000 and 1 million…
For what? What did we accomplish? Does the ousting of Saddam Hussein justify these kinds of losses?
I’ve seen footage of Iraqi women saying that their lives were actually much better off under Saddam…
And don’t tell me “they hate us for our freedom”, I really dislike that saying…that’s not why they hate us. They have MUCH better reasons for hating us…
How about “they hate us for our imperialistic militarism and our government’s complete disregard for the sanctity of life.”
It reminds me of that Bumper Sticker:
“Be Nice to America or We’ll Bring Democracy to Your Country”
